Line Artist Statement

We made this project because today it's important to put God first in our lives, which is one of the main points in our mural. The mural also serves as a warning to us that the decisions we make determine where we go in life and end up. We chose the things that were important to us. When we combined all of our passions and ideas, it all came together and went back to the point of what is most important to us and what should be important to everyone. This is why we made our project the way we did.

We used a variety of masking tape to create our mural. We used the smaller, skinnier pieces of white tape to create the people and dashes in the road. The thicker, dark blue lines of tape were used to create the wifi signal, and the roads. We used scissors to cut the ends for a cleaner look. We also twisted and folded the tape over itself to create texture in the hair and form the fire.

When Jesus died, He showed His love for us. As that love spreads Gods people connect. But those who choose the wrong road don't experience His love. All we have to do is take the hand of Jesus to be accepted. We chose these things because it represents things in life that are important to us and help us in life. For example, the cross represents Jesus being the center of our lives and the roads leading to the fire are all paths we can take in life. The wrong one(s) can lead us to bad things, such as the fire (hell). Cross Contour was used in the cross on our mural. Type: The straight roads with the dashes (broken lines) and the angular lines in the wifi signal. Also the cross was made using horizontal lines. Direction: The lines of the road. It draws your eyes to where the road leads. Character: The people standing around the cross.
